Tessa Jacocks
Tessa Jacocks displayed an innate sense of entrepreneurship and a solid ethical compass. She co-launched Teysha, a social enterprise focused on sustainability and social responsibility. This business offered unique artisanal products and empowered indigenous communities in Latin America via a transformative microloan program. Her next leap was into the tech domain with Bumble, a dating app in its nascent stages. Initially holding the title of Director of Marketing, she was soon elevated to Head of Growth and Innovation. Her versatile skill set—encompassing everything from digital marketing and social media strategies to SEO/ASO—was pivotal in shaping Bumble's success. Always staying true to her ethical commitments, she initiated a Bumble merchandise line, with proceeds channeled to The Whole Planet Foundation, reinforcing her long-standing dedication to social causes. The entrepreneurial spark within her continued to glow as she transitioned into a pivotal role at Argo, a short film platform. Concurrently, she co-established Shepard Collective, a consulting firm, with Chelsea Maclin. Across these roles, she exhibited an enviable ability to adapt and flourish, setting new benchmarks for growth and innovation in diverse business landscapes.
Outside of her bustling professional life, she is a passionate animal advocate. Her home is a sanctuary for two Pyrenees mix puppies, a senior dog with epilepsy, and a pair of adopted cats. For her, these animals serve as more than companions; they are an avenue for activism, leading her to educate others about animal rights and welfare. This love for animals extends to a dream project: a wellness retreat serving as an animal rescue center. Beyond her entrepreneurial and advocacy endeavors, Tessa is deeply involved in philanthropy. She's particularly committed to Be The Match, using her social media influence to champion their work. Her contributions to this organization symbolize her broader engagement with social welfare, encapsulating her holistic approach to social responsibility.
